We provide certificate test deck officer and engineer. The test is approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority and provides former sailors, or others that do not meet the requirement for seatime, an alternative to document competence required for renewal of certificates.

• Preparation, operation, condition monitoring, troubleshooting various systems

• Managing, planning and handling fuel, ballast etc.

• Laws and regulations
Target audience:
This test is for Norwegian Deck officers and Engineers that lack sufficient seatime to renew their certificates. As this test is for Norwegian officers only, the test is only available in Norwegian.
Exam:
Written examination and 5 hours assessment in simulator. The test is in accordance with NMA’s ‘Emneplan for sertifikatprøve for dekks- og maskinoffiserer’. It is also in accordance with STCW A-I/11.1.3.
