The training is primarily aimed at future users of forklift trucks. However, anyone who is in charge of cargo handling and forklift truck at risk analysis and management can also benefit from the course.

Summary of the curriculum topics / course content:
• Requirements to forklift drivers, laws and regulations, training
• Forklift types / auxiliary equipment
• Expressions and definitions, construction and proper use of machinery
• Examples of accidents, laws and regulations regarding the use of forklift trucks
• Stability, usage and safety, goods handling
• Daily checks and reporting
• Exercise assignments and final written theoretical test
• Basic practice with machine skills, user control, cargo handling
• Applications and driving techniques, handling different type of goods / loads
• Practical use of different forklift types, cargo handling
• Practical test

The modules are:
• Modul 1.1 - Work environment, responsibility and consequences (theory)
• Modul 2.2 - Lifting and stacking carriages for goods (theory)
• Modul 3.2 - Basic practical training
• Modul 4.2 - In-depth practical driving training

Truck driver course is conducted in 4 to 5 days, continuous modules: 1.1, 2.2, 3.2 and 4.2 with final examinations, theory and practice. The training is properly adapted for any reading and writing difficulties. Issue of certificate of competence and registration in recognized register, course compendiums / exercises and textbook are included in the course.
