We provide course about ST 405 Offshore Loading - Phase 2. After the course the participants should have improved their understanding and skills in handling shuttle tankers safely and efficient in DP mode near offshore installations when loading at various loading systems.
Theoretical topics such as:
• Rules and regulations
• Offshore Loading systems
• General and field specific procedures
• The DP systems possiblities and limitations
• Position reference systems: DARPS, APOS, Artemis, XPR 100, Radius and HiPap
• Unwanted incidents including reports from IMCA, Petil, HSE and ship owners
Simulator cases including:
• Approach, connecting. loading & disconnection at various offshore loading systems
• Escape maneuvering
• Engine trouble
• Propellers failure
• DP errors
• PRS errors
• ESD 1 and 2
The course is according to the GOMO guidelines, O&G UK regulations and Equinor’s competence requirements
Target audience:
This course is for officers working on shuttle tankers
Prerequisites:
• Participants must have nautical education at management level, nautical certificate and have passed the DP Induction as well as the DP Simulator courses in order to attend this course.
Exam:
In order to receive Document of Evidence the participants must pass a written and practical examination.
