We offer hot work course in english. The insurance industry in Norway demands that everyone who performs hot work holds a certificate that documents that they have undergone approved training in such work.
Content:
The certification is valid for 5 years. Hot work is understood to mean work where machines and equipment that are used can generate sparks and heat that could cause fire. Hot Work also includes the use of open flames, hot air, welding, cutting and, or grinding equipment.
The course is tailored to the requirements that the insurance industry demands and is conducted by approved instructors, who teach in a simple, interesting and absorbing manner. The training includes an introduction to hot work as a cause of fire, and necessary safety measures during the execution of hot work.
The following topics, amongst others are covered:
• Hot work as a cause of fire
• Fire theory
• Fire and fire fighting
• Choice of extinguishing agents
• First aid for burns
• Relevant laws, regulations and rules
• Safety measures before, during and after work
Prerequisites:
• Participants must be fluent in written and spoken english
Kursmateriell:
The price includes the issue of a certificate from the Norwegian Fire Protection Association
Eksamen / sertifisering:
The course concludes with a theory exam from the Norwegian Fire Protection Association. Upon passing the exam, each participant receives a certificate for hot work. Trygg Kurs AS provides all necessary equipment for the completion of the course.
