Are you ready for a very special mix of a winter adventures in Lofoten? A combination of wind, water and snow, on our three favourite activities in Lofoten in winter? Surf, Ski & Sail is not for everyone, and the point is to bring together those who want these activities when visiting Lofoten!
Trip nr 1;From Iceland to Greenland’s mountainous south tip
Finally we kick off the Greenland Expedition 2025! This adventure begins in Ísafjörður, Iceland, where we set sail for a 4-day ocean crossing across the Denmark Strait to the south coast of Greenland. With a total of 11 days, we have plenty of time to explore the majestic landscape and fjords on the coastal voyage around Prince Christian Sound and Tasermiut. Tasermiut has some of Greenland’s, and perhaps the world’s, most magnificent alpine scenery and mountains. Where we will go hiking and explore on land, while we sail up to Narsarsuaq, nestled in the bottom of Eriksfjord.

Trip nr 2; A true expedition on Southwest Greenland to Nuuk
Deep within Eriksfjord, in the town of Narsarsuaq, we board our expedition ship Valiente and head for the world’s smallest capital, Nuuk. This leg offers rugged coastal sailing, numerous excursions on land – both in the mountains and the charming villages – iceberg safaris, fishing, and much more. The entire Southwest Greenland resembles a labyrinth of fjords of all sizes, join our expedition to explore them all!

Trip nr 3; A true Greenland expedition from Nuuk to Disko Bay
From the world’s smallest capital to the heart of West Greenland. On this leg, we visit one of our favorite cities, Sisimiut. A charming and picturesque place, and Greenland’s second-largest city. Some nights we find a secluded anchorage, while others we sail through the bright night under the midnight sun and towering icebergs. Before reaching our final destination, we also explore the Ilulissat Icefjord. Where the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier calves into the fjord, birthing the world’s largest icebergs directly from the vast inland ice sheet.

• Sisimiut is one of our favorite towns in Greenland. It is a picturesque town, and the second largest in the country.
Trip nr 4; Around Disko Bay, in the heart of Greenland
In the heart of West Greenland, we spend a week sailing around Disko Island. During this coastal voyage, we’re surrounded by majestic peaks, quaint colorful villages, towering icebergs, and bustling wildlife. Disko Bay is renowned for its abundance of whales, so it’ll be exciting to see how many we spot! The journey begins and ends in Ilulissat by the Ilulissat Icefjord, situated on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Highlights
• We get close to the locals on this trip, visiting Uummannaq and Qeqertarsuaq among other places – and if we’re lucky, we’ll be invited home for a kaffemik!
• We visit the world’s largest iceberg, which is also on the UNESCO World Heritage list: the Ilulissat Icefjord.
• These areas are bustling with wildlife; whales, seals, fish and birds, musk ox and reindeer!
Trip nr 5; Experience the best of West Greenland, from Disko Bay to the south coast
An adventure packed with highlights from Ilulissat on the west coast to Narsarsuaq on the south coast. On this leg, you’ll witness many of Greenland’s treasures. From the bustling wildlife and massive icebergs of Disko Bay to the world’s smallest capital, with coastal sailing and ocean passages, Viking ruins and small quaint villages. You’ll experience lots in two weeks!

Trip nr 6; From Greenland’s mountainous south tip to Iceland
This adventure kicks off in Narsarsuaq, nestled deep within Eriksfjord. The first part of the expedition will be spent navigating fjords, exploring Viking ruins, mountain hiking and wandering through charming villages. In the Prins Christian Sund and Tasermiut area, a paradise for mountain enthusiasts, we’ll see if we can conquer a 2000-meter high peak before embarking on the 4-day ocean crossing to Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik.
