I give individual recorder lessons, students are aged 6-10. The basic recorder technique, as well as the foundation of theoretical knowledge will be acquired. Learning playfully and selecting repertoire that meets the students´ preferences is the priority.
Organization:
Most beginners prefer weekly tuition, 30 min., advanced students might prefer lessons every second week. The individual lessons are held at the students' home, mainly as no logistical effort is required. Alternatively, the lessons can be held online via Skype or Zoom. Individual lessons are scheduled on weekdays from 12.00 to 20.00.
Fees:
The lessons are scheduled at the beginning of each month, an invoice is sent to the parents thereafter. Please note that 20 min. lessons are only given to students younger than 5 years, siblings of students or students at after-school programmes (FAU/SFO).
The prices for the individual tuition follow the guidelines of CREO.
Weekly lessons:
• yearly contract: 390 NOK á 30 min.
• no binding: 490 NOK á 30 min.
Bi-weekly lessons:
• yearly contract: 820 NOK á 60 min.
• no binding: 920 NOK á 60 min.
Prerequisites:
Every student must have an own instrument available, as it is crucial for the learning outcome to implement daily practice. It is as well needed to have a sheet music stand. For recorder students, I highly recommend to invest in a good soprano recorder with baroque system. The following instruments are the most adequate ones for beginners.
• Mollenhauer 0119R Adris Dream Soprano
• Mollenhauer 1119B Adris Dream Recorder
• Moeck 2200 Flauto Rondo Soprano
• Yamaha YRS-402 B Soprano Recorder
• Yamaha YRS-302 BIII Soprano Recorder
For the lessons, students should have a folder for sheet music and blank paper as well as a pencil, as taking notes helps to memorize the steps.
Learning outcomes:
Students will establish an ergonomic recorder technique, build repertoire, and receive an introduction to music theory. Aural training and composition are as well part of the tuition. Practice strategies and memorization techniques are discussed throughout the year.
