Join our Advanced Life Support (ALS) Course, designed for healthcare professionals handling cardiac emergencies. Gain hands-on experience in high-quality CPR, defibrillation, airway management, and life-saving medications – all aligned with European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines.
About the Course:
Advanced Life Support (ALS) is a course designed for healthcare professionals and others with extended responsibility for managing cardiac arrest. The course provides training in a systematic approach to cardiac arrest situations, advanced airway management, rhythm analysis, defibrillation, and the use of medications in accordance with current guidelines. ALS is based on the latest guidelines from the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and national resuscitation councils.
Target Audience:
The course is tailored for doctors, nurses, paramedics, anesthetic personnel, advanced first responders, rescue personnel, and other healthcare professionals who may be involved in cardiac arrest management.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
• Recognize and manage cardiac arrest in an emergency medical context
• Perform high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with minimal interruptions
• Assess and manage airways, including the use of supraglottic airways and endotracheal intubation
• Interpret ECG rhythms and differentiate between shockable and non-shockable rhythms
• Perform advanced defibrillation using a manual defibrillator
• Administer appropriate medications (e.g., adrenaline, amiodarone) during cardiac arrest
• Lead and collaborate effectively within a resuscitation team
• Utilize the ALS algorithm for the systematic management of cardiac arrest
Course Content:
• Fundamental principles of advanced cardiac arrest management
• Identification and treatment of reversible causes of cardiac arrest
• High-performance team-based CPR
• Use of manual defibrillators and shock protocols
• Medication administration in cardiac arrest
• Airway management with laryngeal masks, endotracheal tubes, and ventilation strategies
• Post-resuscitation care and intensive follow-up
• Scenario-based and hands-on skill training in realistic situations
Course Duration:
The course lasts 3–6 hours, depending on prior knowledge and the need for additional practice.
Course Delivery:
The course combines theoretical instruction, skill training, and practical scenarios to ensure comprehensive understanding and confidence in handling cardiac arrest situations. Participants receive individual feedback from experienced instructors with backgrounds in emergency and intensive care medicine.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course, including both practical and theoretical assessments, participants will receive an ALS certification in accordance with European Resuscitation Council (ERC) guidelines. The certificate is valid for two years.
