We arrange snow caving tours. We have 2 days and a 1 night tour in a snow Cave. Snow caving for total beginners in Namsskogan / Røyrvik. A nature pearl in the heart of Norway.
Program
With our fun and experienced instructors, you’ll learn how to construct the snow shelters that will keep you warm, comfortable and safe during you’re stay. This with little more than a snow saw and a spade. You’ll learn not just how to build them. But also why we build them as shelters. By building and sleeping in your very own snow cave, you learn the survival skills that we use when we are on the mountain, and when the weather turns for the worst. This is a great skill for any outdoor enthusiast to have if you ever got surprised on the mountain in bad weather. You will be amazed how comfortable a snow cave actually is. We will prepare our evening meal in the snow cave, get cozy with a cup of hot chocolate perhaps play cards and doze off while the stars and the possibly the northern light twinkles over your cave.
Includes
Local guide, simple snack, coffee, tea or hot chocolate, reindeer hide as madrass.
Excludes
Ski equipment and sleeping bag (both can be rented from us for 250 kr each per day/night - our sleeping bags are suitable for minus -18C / -20 C)
