Then you’ve come to the right place.
Norwegian course for beginners:
This course builds upon Norsk 1 (A1) and is perfect for those who have some knowledge of the Norwegian language and which speak and understand some Norwegian. English will be the support language.
All lessons take place in classrooms with dedicated and qualified teachers.
The goal of the Norwegian course:
In this Norwegian course we aim for you to understand, speak, write and read enough Norwegian to pass the Norwegian test at A2 level according to the CEFR framework.
You will learn to use and understand words, phrases and expressions, enough to make yourself understood in everyday situations.
You will also learn a fair amount of fundamental grammar, number names, interrogatives and spelling. You will learn to make sentences and pose questions with the correct syntax. You will also learn how to express yourself in regards to currency, measurements and weight. You will learn to express your own opinion on different subjects, and have a fair amount of knowledge about the Norwegian Society
Material for this Norwegian course:
For the Norwegian course in Kristiansand, we will inform about what books to use and buy, before the course starts.
For the Norwegian course in Stavanger we use the books På vei textbook and På vei workbook. The teacher will go through chapter 9 till 16. You have to buy the books before the ourse starts. The books can be bought at Norli or Ark bookstores or ordered on the internet. We also have some online resources for books På vei, that you can find here.
The course fee does not include the books.
Approval and Certificates:
Aftenskolen is approved provider by Direktoratet for høyere utdanning og kompetanse and also approved by Norwegian immigration authorities and valid for applying for permanent residence or Norwegian citizenship.
After finishing your Norwegian course, you will receive a course certificate if you have attended at least 75% of the classes. If you attend less than 75% we can issue a confirmation letter for the number of hours you have attended.
